Honestly was bracing for a finicky fit, but the inner rubber seal pressed in with zero fuss and the whole upper lid assembly clicked back like it was factory. My CD player's lid now closes with that solid, quiet thud it had when new.

The inner lid seal fits snugly enough that I didn't need any extra adhesive, and the whole set swapped in under ten minutes. My CD player's lid finally closes with that solid, quiet thud it had when new.
